621 Gallery call for proposals by May 13

We are reaching out about our call for proposals for our next Exhibition Season of 2022-2023. Our deadline to apply is May 13, 2022. 621 Gallery is located within the historic Railroad Square Art District in Tallahassee, FL. We are a non-profit arts exhibition and program space providing innovative and progressive contemporary art exhibitions, workshops, and events for all. Established in 1981, 621 Gallery is the oldest and largest contemporary arts venue in the region!  We are taking application proposals for this coming year, September 2022 – July 2023. We are always eager to reach beyond Tallahassee and seek diverse practitioners from around the country to contribute their ideas and creative achievements to the upcoming exhibition season. Our goal is to showcase diverse voices from our local scene and beyond.  We would both like to urge emerging and established artists to apply with no limitations as to medium specificity, from traditional to experimental. Curator, duo, and group exhibition proposals are also being accepted at this time. 621 Gallery’s main space is 70’ x 30’ with a 12’ x 12’ freestanding wall dividing the space into two rooms. Artists have the opportunity to take on one half or the entire main gallery. The adjoining Nan Boynton Memorial Gallery provides a smaller exhibition space.   For more information about the application, please visit our website here (www.621gallery.org/apply) for our application guidelines and submission options.
