Florida’s Art in State Buildings
Florida’s Art in State Buildings Program announces new projects for Summer 2009. On the Call to Artists page of the program’s web site are links to descriptions of three new public art projects with submission deadlines in August. With art budgets ranging from $11,000 to $100,000, the art selection committees are searching for a variety of art, from interior artwork to large-scale outdoor pieces.
Interested artists can go to www.Florida-Arts.org/programs/statebuildings and click on Call to Artists. Bookmark the page and check back because several more new projects will be posted in July and August with deadlines in September & October.

Aesthetica Annual Creative Works Competition 2009
Aesthetica is looking for entries to the 2009 International Aesthetica Creative Works Competition. The 2008 Competition was a successful springboard for artists’ careers around the globe.
The winners and finalists from last year, went on to secure further exhibitions, commissions (including Channel 4’s Three Minute Wonder), and publications. The winners and finalists were published in the Aesthetica Annual, which is available nationwide through Borders Stores. It’s a great opportunity to bring your work to a wider audience.
