It is with pleasure that the Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County presents its Artist of the Month for November, Linda Grashorn

The Arts & Humanities Council of Charlotte County has chosen Linda Grashorn“ Artist of the Month” for November 2011.  Sally will be honored with a proclamation from the Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, November 8. Her work can be viewed at the Florida Gulf Coast University, Herald Court Center, 117 Herald Court, Ste 211, Punta Gorda

Linda Grashorn is a Fiber Artist whose ideas appeal to embroidery enthusiast of all skill levels. Her specialties are customized machine embroidery fiber art and home décor projects. She has a fascination with including her manipulated digital images in her work. She has taught at Husqvarna Viking International Convention, and participated in numerous exhibitions. Her trunk shows include examples of art under glass, soft sculpture and wearable art, with lectures and demo’s.

She’s the owner of a small embroidery company called Said With Thread.  When she’s not there, she’s teaching class at Charlotte Sewing Studio in Port Charlotte, Fl.
